During the fourth semester, students conduct various practical projects for external and internal clients. They develop the skills they need to define project assignments and carry out project plans. The students then implement and evaluate the projects, building on their theoretical knowledge of social work and project work. The size of the project team is based on the work required for the project in question. At the end of the semester, students present their project to the public, offering insight into the creative working and spontaneity of students on the Social Work course.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Umadum – we are Kapfenberg! <\/h4>\n<\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Together with a team from the ‘Jugend am Werk’ competence and training centre in Kapfenberg, our students designed a brochure prototype for people with a disability. The brochure presents offers for the target group at a glance and makes it easier for them to organise their leisure time. By cooperating with those affected, they were able to take a further step towards inclusion.<\/p>\n

    Mirror reflection – the self-image and public image of Muslim families <\/h4>\n<\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

    The aim of the project was to break down prejudice on both sides, to raise awareness of different cultures and to facilitate discrimination-free interaction with one another. Our students conducted interviews with Muslim families as well as institutions. These interviews were used to collect data for the compilation of an information brochure and flyers. The target group includes social workers and institution employees.<\/p>\n

      Public youth work, St. Margarethen an der Raab <\/h4>\n<\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

      The project team set itself the goal of devising a concept for public youth work in St. Margarethen an der Raab. This included significant steps such as a data analysis, direct work with the target group and networking in the community. Direct work with young people involved a radio project and jointly developing options for independent use of the newly opened youth room. <\/p>\n
