Orientation Program for International Students

,

During the Orientation Program for International Students in September 2021, the International Relations division welcomed 220 students from 51 countries who have come to study at FH JOANNEUM.

The participants were both exchange students and international degree-seeking students. The first group arrived on September 13th and started their three-week intensive German course on the first day. The first day was intense, as the afternoon was spent in information sessions where all administrative matters such as residence registration and Top Ticket application were handled. However, in the following days, the students had the afternoons to themselves, which allowed them to explore Graz and its surroundings.

On September 27th, the second group of students arrived for the Culture & Fun program. Together with the students from the Premium program, they visited the Styrian Armory, the Eggenberg Castle and went on an excursion to the Riegersburg Castle and the Zotter Chocolate Factory in Southern Styria. The excursion took place on October 1st, and as you can see on the photos, the weather was fantastic!

The International Relations division thanks all participants for three fun weeks and wishes everyone a great start to the semester. We have already started planning next semester’s orientation program for those coming in February 2022.
