Andrea Schlacher is a lecturer, researcher and project manager at FH JOANNEUM in Graz, where she works in the bachelor’s and master’s degree programs at the Institute of Design and Communication. With a passion for interdisciplinary learning and creative thinking, she teaches her students practical skills that are crucial for a successful career in the design and communication industry.
In her role as international coordinator (at the Institute of Design & Communication as well as the Institute of Journalism and Digital Media), she is largely responsible for collaboration with partner universities. She promotes the exchange of students and lecturers and organizes international events and projects. Andrea's commitment to the internationalization of higher education is reflected in her ability to build sustainable networks and develop innovative programs that further strengthen the institute's international profile.
Her goal is to create an inspiring learning environment that encourages students to think and act globally. Strengthening intercultural competence is a central aspect that enables students to operate successfully in a diverse (design) world and to move confidently in different cultures.
