Nadine Gams was trained as pediatric nurse and worked in the department of gynecology and obstetrics for several years. The focus was care of mothers and babies in the puerperium period.
The counseling of women who have recently given birth, as well as the advice on breastfeeding and lactation have become high priority.
Additionally, she has work experience at a pediatric and neonatal intensive care unit.
After having finished her bachelor studies in Health and Nursing Science at the medical university in Graz, she devoted her further education to the master’s course in nursing education.
Subsequently she taught at the “Bildungszentrum Ost für Pflege und Gesundheit des Landes Steiermark“ for several years.
Since March 2020, she has been lecturing at the Institute for Health Care and Nursing.
Since October 2022, Nadine Gams has been mentoring the Academic Expert in Child and Youth Care course.
