Target Audience
Higher education faculty from all disciplines who wish to engage with the ethical dimensions of AI in their teaching; lecturers and professors who aim to integrate AI technologies into their courses or prepare students for ethical challenges in the AI field; academic staff working at the intersection of technology, ethics, and education.
Content
The workshop addresses the disruptive changes caused by AI technologies in our work and life environments. We examine the development of robotics and AI systems and their integration into industry, medicine, and social applications. Special attention is given to the ethical dimensions of AI – from Asimov’s first laws of robotics to the current challenges posed by ChatGPT, Gemini, and other generative AI systems. We discuss key questions about responsibility, regulation, and the creation of an appropriate ethical framework for AI technologies.
Objectives
Participants will be empowered to critically reflect on the ethical implications of AI technologies, understand current regulatory approaches, and develop tools for the responsible integration of AI in academic and professional contexts.
Didactic Design
This workshop combines theoretical foundations with practical reflection exercises. Participants work in small groups to develop approaches for ethical evaluation of AI applications and collaboratively create guidelines for the responsible use of AI in educational contexts.
This workshop will be conducted in English.
