Requirements:

You can apply if you meet the following requirements:

  • Completed bachelor’s degree (open to all disciplines)
  • English B1

Required documents for application:

  • Curriculum vitae
  • Information about your current employment
  • Self-assessment of previous experience (basic prior knowledge, advanced prior knowledge, expert)

Integration/combination options:

The microcredential is carried out jointly with students on the Master’s programme in Engineering and Production Management and can be credited towards this programme.

Study organisation:

The microcredential takes place in blocks in person.

The content is taught in multimedia lectures with case studies and applied in practice in exercises and group work. A jointly defined practical project in the company, excursions and an international guest lecture ensure the strong dual training character and link theory with real industrial issues. The training takes place in a dual format with close involvement from a company, with part of the course being conducted by an EU4Dual partner university. As part of the Sustainable Production Engineering microcredential, you can look forward to a lecture by guest speaker Emmanuel Duc from ESTIA University France. This allows technical and economic problem-solving skills to be developed and deepened in a targeted manner.

Graduation requirements:

Assessment is based 50% on participation in the integrated exercises and presentation of the practical project and 50% on a written examination at the end of the course. Grading is based on the Austrian grading system from 1 to 5.

Qualification profile:

Students understand key aspects of sustainable product and production design and can apply the methods they have learned to real-world tasks in practice. This enables students to implement optimisations in manufacturing companies and evaluate them economically and ecologically using the documentation provided.

Tipp
