Frank Michael Amort
AMORT Frank Michael, born 1968, social scientific training at the University of Vienna, graduation in 1994. Specialised training in International Public Health (2009 - 2010) and (2010 - 2012) on-the-job training in field epidemiology Master Epidemiología Aplicada de Campo (both Instituto Carlos III, Madrid). Ph.D. phil (2018) in Palliative Care and Organizational Ethics at the University of Klagenfurt.
Many years of professional experience (1994 - 2009) in the field HIV-related health promotion. Participation in numerous EU projects with applied research (Aids & Mobility, Aids & Youth, Bordernet, ...).
Since 2012 full-time senior lecturer at FH JOANNEUM with the following main research areas:
a. Evidence-based and participatory practice of public health and health promotion
b. Health literacy and health communication
c. Primary care management
d. Early palliative care and chronic diseases as well as self-help (management)
