Frank Michael Amort

AMORT Frank Michael (1968) graduated in social sciences from the University of Vienna (1994) with a focus on health communication and sociology. This was followed by many years of practical and managerial professional experience (1994 - 2009) in the field of target group-specific and HIV-related health promotion as well as collaboration in numerous EU projects with applied research in the field of HIV/AIDS. Subsequently (2009 - 2010) Master Salud Pública Internacional at Escuela de Sanidad and completion of the two-year (2010 - 2012) Master Epidemiología Aplicada de Campo (both Instituto Carlos III, Madrid). 2018 PhD in Palliative Care and Organizational Ethics at the University of Klagenfurt.

He has been active in both teaching and research at FH JOANNEUM since 2012 and will head the MBA course in Health Economics from 2023.

Evidence-Based and Participatory Practice in Public Health and Health Promotion; Health Literacy and Health Communication; Primary Care Management; Early Palliative Care and Chronic Diseases as well as Self-Help(Management)and Physical Activity Promotion and Active Mobility.
