Johannes Moosbrugger is the course leader for Business Statistics 2 in the Bachelor’s program in Banking and Insurance.
From 2009 to 2012, Johannes Moosbrugger completed a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Mathematics at TU Graz. In the summer of 2015, he completed a Master’s degree in “Finance and Insurance Mathematics” with a thesis on distribution-robust portfolio optimization. One year later, he also graduated with a Master’s degree in “Operations Research/Statistics” from TU Graz. His second Master’s thesis won first place at the Austrian Actuarial Association’s (AVÖ) 2016 award for academic theses and focused on modeling cancellation probabilities.
Since the beginning of 2016, Johannes Moosbrugger has been working at Security KAG. His main tasks include the development of SePP, a software solution for Best Estimate calculations under Solvency II. Additionally, he is responsible for various data analysis projects and won first place in the summer of 2017 in a competition on automotive damage modeling, co-organized by the French Actuarial Association.
