Since October 2025, Thomas Kautz has been working as a Moodle expert at Joanneum University of Applied Sciences, where he is part of the Learning, Innovation & Technology (LIT) department. In this role, he supports teachers and students with questions relating to the Moodle learning management system. He also supervises digital examinations and ensures that the examination processes run smoothly.
Previously, he worked as a software developer and developed custom augmented reality solutions for museums and the creative sector. In addition, he implemented several web applications: from e-commerce platforms to immersive 3D integrations.
He completed a master's degree in Interactive Technologies with a focus on augmented and virtual reality at the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten. During his studies, he gained knowledge in the areas of interaction design and user experience design.
