On September 28, the moment finally arrived: After more than two years of preparation and intensive collaboration, the EU4Dual Consortium was able to launch the first joint master’s program with a Landing Week in Bilbao.

The master’s program, coordinated by the University of Mondragon (MU) and developed in collaboration with three other partner universities (FH JOANNEUM, ESTIA School of Engineering in France, and Koszalin University of Technology in Poland), offers specializations in “Smart Manufacturing Simulation” at MU itself and “Smart Production” at FH JOANNEUM in its first cohort.

The dual program features strong industry involvement; practical training at partner companies is an integral part of all three semesters. Through various formats, students gain practical insight into the world of work as well as hands-on experience at partner companies. Gaining insight into the corporate world was also high on the agenda during the Landing Week.

Project weeks in three different countries (Spain, Finland, and Austria) are also part of the program. These mobility opportunities and the international cohort of students guarantee an intercultural experience for all participants reflecting the spirit of a European university alliance.
