During your internship abroad, you may have the chance to extend your internship or leave the internship early. Here you will find all relevant information and documents. Moreover you have the chance to take part in a photo competition or participate in the \”Cultural Learning\” online phase of the accompanying seminar.

Extending the internship

In case of an extension of a traineeship, an extension of the Erasmus+ grant is possible in principle, provided that the corresponding application is submitted on Mobility Online at least four weeks before the end of the original contract period. In Mobility Online, the question on “Will it be extended?” must be answered with YES, then section 2 of the Learning Agreement (During the mobility) must be completed and signed by all three parties (trainee, FH JOANNEUM degree programme, company) and uploaded back to Mobility Online. This document will be made available on Mobility Online. The extension period must cover at least 15 days and may not extend into a subsequent Erasmus year.

Cancellation

If you are unable to start your Erasmus stay or wish to cancel it, please inform the International Relations and the relevant internship coordinator for your degree programme immediately. In addition, please cancel your stay on Mobility Online.

Cancellations of stays that have lasted longer than the minimum duration (2 full months) will be paid out on a daily basis.
Cancellations under the minimum duration that are not marked as “force majeure” cannot be funded and if the first payment of the grant has already been made at that time, it must be repaid.
Stays not started, where nothing has been paid out yet, can be cancelled without consequences.

Cultural Learning – Study Abroad Seminar

During their stay abroad, students participate in an accompanying “Cultural Learning” programme, where they are required to deal with specific topics (Europe, culture, integration) in order to develop an awareness of these issues. “Cultural Learning“ is the second part of the (voluntary) Study Abroad Seminar.

Photo and Video Contest

Every academic year, the International Relations of FH JOANNEUM organizes a Photo and Video Competition for outgoing students and trainees. The best photos are then awarded prizes at an information event and receive great prizes. The photo and video competition has a different theme each year.
