COVID-Update: Sicher studieren

COVID-Update: study safe!

,

With great pleasure we start the winter semester 2022/2023 under the motto “Presence first”.

Here is an overview of the measures that apply currently at FH JOANNEUM:

  • Stay home if you feel ill.
  • If you have been tested positive for COVID-19, please do not come to FH JOANNEUM (until the end of the restriction). As of August 1, 2022, a restriction will replace segregation if you have COVID-19. Those who have no symptoms and feel healthy are allowed to leave their own home with FFP2 mask, and also to go to work or study, according to federal legal requirements. However, FH JOANNEUM should continue to be a safe place to study, research and work.
  • Hygiene measures still apply.
  • The obligation to report suspected cases of COVID-19 and cases of illness via the online reporting tool doesn't apply to students, but employees and lecturers. However, students must inform the head of their study program in any case of suspicion or illness.

Teaching & Exams

Courses and exams will generally be conducted in a face-to-face format. In some areas, online formats will also be conducted. It is up to the head of your study program to choose the respective format.

If online participation in courses or examinations is not possible, the positive test result of an officially recognized testing center for students is considered sufficient proof of non-participation in a course or non-attendance at an examination.

Excursions and internships are possible.

Library

The library and reading rooms are open. You can find the opening hours here.

Events

Events such as workshops, seminars, etc. are possible.

Student parties are possible.

Graduations will be held in presence.
