Bivouac / Autonomous Bivouac

The bivouac on serves primarily as accommodation for mountaineers on difficult and enduring tours. The design of the bivouac takes into account the needs for a relaxing stay combined with the associated experience. The building connects to the rock face via support cables as well as pendulum supports, which are anchored into the rock with heavy-duty anchors. The power supply is a self-sufficient PV system mounted on the facade. The wooden construction with large window openings towards the inside offers a pleasant climate indoors. The microarchitecture offers space for a wardrobe, a dining-, and a lounge area, as well as features a sleeping level above.
