The Making of Murphy
A mixed media animation with a focus on emotional image design
What image design possibilities are available to animated film in order to emotionalize its narrative? This master’s thesis looks at a number of compositional and visual design elements, and analyses their emotional effects. The findings which were obtained are incorporated in the practical part of the thesis – an animation of digitally painted, three‒dimensionally constructed figures and scenes.
