This Bachelor’s Thesis explains and summarizes guidelines selected from the specialist literature with a focus on content strategies and interface design guidelines. In addition, the guidelines are implemented in the practical application of redesigning an existing website. The real applicability and the background of the guidelines are highlighted in practice.
The result of the Bachelor’s Thesis is that content strategies and interface design guidelines offer great assistance in design decisions. However, in terms of practice, it is also evident that compromises have to be made again and again. The optimum is never quite achievable and the trial-error principle remains part of the design process. After the optimization is before the next optimization.
