KAIT and Green KAIT

KAIT: The center for IT founders in Upper Styria

Since its foundation in 2017, KAIT, the Kapfenberg Accelerator and Incubator for IT, has established itself as a contact point for founders and young entrepreneurs. With the support of the Interreg programme, KAIT has helped students and ambitious founders in Upper Styria to turn their business ideas in the IT sector into reality. By providing workspaces, advice, networks and assistance with financing issues, KAIT offers everything start-ups need for a successful launch.

The KAIT team at FH JOANNEUM promotes digital projects and has already successfully supported start-ups such as FITAPP and Inpro Analytics. KAIT is primarily aimed at innovative minds who see their future in the region’s IT industry and focuses on sustainable and socially responsible business models.

Services for founders: KAIT offers customized support in the form of:

  • Work and co-working spaces for teams and individual founders,
  • coaching and mentoring by experts in IT, business and management,
  • networking events to exchange ideas with investors and industry professionals,
  • workshops and training on topics such as business modeling, financing and legal principles,
  • advice on financing and assistance with funding applications.

Green KAIT: Sustainable start-up ideas for the future
