In 2019, Lisa Almer began her studies in Health Management in Tourism at FH JOANNEUM. After completing her bachelor's degree in 2022, she is now pursuing a master's degree in Health, Tourism, and Sports Management, with a focus on Sport and Event Management. Since February 2024, she has also been working as a research assistant at the institute and contributing to the project KURT (klimafit und resilient im Thermen- und Vulkanland).

Throughout her academic career, Lisa has gained a wide range of practical experiences. She was part of the study advisory team at FH JOANNEUM, where she presented her study program at fairs and school visits. As an event representative for öh joanneum, she organized events that enriched campus life, and she gained additional practical experience by volunteering at notable sports events such as the Sport Austria Finals and the Ironman. In addition to these experiences, Lisa Almer is also involved in the board of the alumni association GMTalumni, where she serves as Head of Events. She took on this role during her master's studies. Lisa is also active in the group BGevents, which organizes, among other things, spritzer stands and other events for students. Her continuous involvement in such projects demonstrates her commitment to the student community and her passion for event organization.

A particular success was her participation in a competition by Österreich Werbung and the Austrian Society for Applied Research in Tourism and Leisure Economy, where she, along with two fellow students, developed the concept for "Destination Green". This app promotes sustainability and regionality in tourism regions through a reward system. For this innovative idea, they received the Young Talents Award at the Austrian Tourism Day.
