Internship at WertelOberfell in Berlin.
When, where & in which company did you complete your internship?
I completed my 5-month internship in the summer semester of 2022. The office is called WertelOberfell and has two locations, one in Berlin and one in Munich. I was in the Berlin office.
Why did you choose this company/this job?
Even while researching the company, it was clear to me that WertelOberfell represents exactly my interests: structures, surfaces and experiments. Not only do they design products for exciting clients, but they also have a lab where they also let interns work and research on individual projects for the most part.

What was the most valuable learning for you?
The most valuable thing I was able to take away was working independently and finding ideas. I learned how to communicate in a small office and how to deal with problems like time management. I was also able to learn and improve some hard skills, which improved the quality of my projects a lot.
Did you find the required activities under- or over-demanding?
At the beginning, I thought I would be a bit less demanding, but I quickly realised that the knowledge I had acquired at the UAS allowed me to quickly integrate it into everyday office life. So it was neither under-challenging nor over-challenging: it was just right and a lot of fun!
