What we do
Medical 3D-Print specialises in the production of printed models for preoperative planning. The models can be printed and delivered within 48 hours using cutting-edge 3D printing technologies. The realistic representation gives surgeons literally a “tangible” impression of the pathologies to be treated. The models are used in preoperative planning and to support the surgeon in decision making during complex and difficult interventions.

How we got the idea
We came across patient-specific 3D printing while studying part-time for our Master’s degrees in Medical Physics and were soon deeply engaged with the topic. After one year and putting in several hundred hours of work in our spare time we were finally ready to start our own business.

Our “big moment”
When we first held an almost perfect model in our hands and realised that we were now ready for application in clinical practice.
What keeps us going
We simply enjoy being innovative and keeping at the cutting edge of technology. And on top of this, our 3D models can improve the outcome of surgical interventions, which benefits the patients and is therefore very important to us.
What we could have done differently
Retrospectively, we should have started working on the topic earlier.
Outlook
Our aim is to deliver practically perfect planning models in even less time.
