Requirements for Incoming Exchange Students

Students from all over the world can complete an exchange semester at FH JOANNEUM. This requires an exchange agreement between the two universities.

General requirements

Applications to study abroad at FH JOANNEUM under exchange agreements are handled by the international relations office at your home university.

Before applying to FH JOANNEUM, you should clarify whether:

• FH JOANNEUM is a partner institution of your university
• the courses at FH JOANNEUM will be credited towards your degree
• your home university participates in ECTS and you can take suitable courses at FH JOANNEUM that meet the ECTS requirements of your home university if you come from a European university

Language requirements

Most study programmes at FH JOANNEUM are taught in German. To participate in these programmes, German language skills at level B2 are required.

However, some study programmes also offer enough courses in English to fill an exchange semester. For those programmes a level B2 in English is required.
