🎓 What I studied:

My job: Business Development Manger at MAKR GmbH in Graz, AUSTRIA.

📭 How to reach me: LinkedIn, Mail

Me in three emojis:

🌍 Global mindset and cultural awareness

🧭 Strategic direction, leadership focus

🎯 Strategic focus and goal orientation

In my free time: I study Spanish and Portuguese
I do all kinds of sports, gym, snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking…
I travel around the world

The coolest internship/project was: Racing Team – Team leader for the Business Plan Department at FH JOANNEUM

I spent my semester abroad in: Argentina

When I was little, I wanted to be a TV host, today I am a Sales and Business Development Manager.

If I hadn’t studied Global Strategic Management, I would be: less confident to work in a crazy industry

Here is where I spent my time after the lectures: in the gym

The best food on campus: Spar

My favorite spot on campus: Rooftop terrasse, red booths

This is how I celebrated my graduation: With my family and friends in a restaurant

Tell us what your job is, without telling us what your job is: I turn football passion, local regulations, and sharp odds into products that make sense for LatAm markets and still perform commercially.

If my studies were a animal, it would be: Duracell bunny – reacting fast to everything

What you definitely learn in my study programme: How to really present yourself and every topic that will come your way

The best course was: Global Strategic Decision Making

This course was a challenge for me: Research Methods and Statistics

Fun fact from my studies? Useless knowledge? Some companies fail abroad not because of bad products, but because they translate their slogans poorly. For example: Pepsi in China: Slogan “Pepsi brings you back to life” was translated as “Pepsi brings your ancestors back from the grave.”

Studying Global Strategic Management taught me how companies grow and compete internationally, and how strategy isn’t just about numbers. It’s also about culture, people, and context. You learn to see the big picture: why some companies succeed abroad, why some fail, and how small decisions can make a huge difference.
What everybody should also take from Global Strategic Management, are the people, friends and therefore network you create. In Graz and in the semester abroad. So many talented and smart people in one place are not found twice in your life.

About my job

I work as a Business Development Manager at MAKR GmbH in Graz, where I operate at the intersection of international sales, strategy, and market adaptation. My role involves understanding complex conditions such as local regulations, cultural differences, and market mechanics, and turning them into products that succeed in the market – especially in Latin America.

My studies in Global Strategic Management provided me with a strong strategic and intercultural foundation. Skills in market analysis, project management, negotiation, and the experience from my semester abroad in Argentina have been particularly valuable. Today, I use my language skills and knowledge of international markets to acquire new clients, build sustainable business relationships, and drive growth in global markets.
