With US visiting professor Jaedo Park, FH JOANNEUM welcomes an international academic as part of the Fulbright Programme. Key factors in his decision to come were, in particular, the institution’s strong expertise in automotive engineering and its close collaboration with industry. “These areas of focus align perfectly with my research interests and made the decision to come to Graz very easy,” says Jaedo Park. His home university is the renowned University of Colorado Denver, where he specialises in Electrical Engineering, Energy and power systems and Intelligent mobility systems. At the Institute of Electronic Engineering at FH JOANNEUM, he will specifically pass on his knowledge of electric drives, digital control systems and AI applications for the drive systems of electric machines to students.
FH JOANNEUM has been a Fulbright Austria member for many years and hosts professors in technical disciplines. Among other things, this is expected to lead to the further internationalisation of technical degree programmes, access to high-quality academic knowledge, the introduction of diverse perspectives, and an understanding of academic standards.
