What we offer: Food Innovation Incubator

The Styrian food industry already boasts a wealth of high-quality, innovative products and solutions. Nevertheless, there remains significant potential for further innovation in the areas of product development, processing methods and production facilities. To actively support such innovations, the Food Innovation Incubator was launched at FH JOANNEUM: a creative development space and innovation lab designed to explore, design and implement ideas relating to all aspects of food.

At the Food Innovation Incubator, stakeholders from across the entire value chain come together – from producers and developers to those interested in setting up a business. They gain access to specialist support, technical infrastructure and an interdisciplinary team of experts from FH JOANNEUM. We possess proven expertise in the fields of food product and process development, process engineering, hygiene, sustainability and – particularly important for creating genuine innovation – systems science, which takes the entire innovation system into account.

The Food Innovation Incubator offers a comprehensive range of services, tailored to the needs of food producers and those aspiring to become producers.

Networking

“Talking brings people together.” Guided by this motto, we foster a network for exchange and cooperation. Whether through regular meetings or collaborative initiatives, this is where ideas meet practical application, established businesses meet start-ups, and visions meet partners for implementation.

Knowledge Transfer

Innovation requires knowledge. We offer educational events, workshops and training courses on key topics such as hygiene, sustainability, product development and food safety. Depending on your needs, we offer these as standardised programmes or tailor them specifically to your requirements.

Innovation coaching

Together with you, or in line with your specifications, we develop new products, equipment, concepts and processes, and support you from the initial idea right through to implementation. In doing so, we draw on our many years of experience in the fields of food technology, hygiene, sustainability and product development. The Food Innovation Incubator provides you with a modern infrastructure – ideal for testing and further developing your ideas right on site.
