“Stolpersteine” is a project that remembers the fate of those people who were murdered, deported, expelled, driven to suicide or affected by
“Aryanisation” expropriations under National Socialism. Jewish victims are remembered as well as those who were victims of political, religious or
ethnic persecution, who were murdered because of their sexual orientation, because they refused to do military service or because their lives were
considered “unworthy”.
The memorial walk to the Stolpersteine (stumbling stones) in Graz remembers these people and at the same time addresses issues such as the dealing with
minorities, civil courage as well as refugees and migration….
