Anchor

Due to the increase in life expectancy, dementia now affects a growing number of people. In addition to forgetfulness, the patients often demonstrate unusual behavior and a change in character. This in turn makes the care and interaction difficult and emotionally trying for the relatives, and often leads to a lot of uncertainty on both sides.

The goal of the Anchor project is to improve this situation, and bring patients and relatives closer together. A calendar which is inte- grated into the daily routine as a new ritual makes this possible. Each day the rear pages of the calendar offer new opportunities for conversations, mutual remembering, or activities.
