For the first time, the former canteen of FH JOANNEUM at Eggenberger Allee 11 was brought back to life through design, transforming the space into a vibrant exhibition venue. Already on the opening night, the exhibition attracted a remarkable number of visitors.
Not only the students’ projects stood out for their creativity, but also the innovative way they were presented. A running sushi conveyor, for example, wound its way through the exhibition, displaying magazines created by the Communication Design students. The magazine series Dotter explored a wide range of topics, including masculinity, love, self-love, and the cultural scene of Styria, all designed and curated by the emerging designers.
Media Design students presented several short films, which visitors could experience via headphones, creating an intimate and immersive viewing experience. Interaction Design students showcased interactive cocktail robots that invited visitors to engage directly with the installations.
Another highlight was a collaborative film project by the Media Design students. Each team developed a segment of a continuing storyline, resulting in a multifaceted and cohesive film. The content and design of the exhibition were supervised and managed by the three major leads: Anika Kronberger, Christoph Neuhold and Tomislav Bobinec.
