Breakdown service with cargo bikes

Jonas Brickmann worked on motorised two-wheelers for roadside assistance as part of his project work for his Industrial Design degree programme.

Cargo bikes are often used for breakdowns in city centres. According to the ÖAMTC, these can handle the same breakdowns as a service vehicle. If you transfer the load volume of these cargo bikes to a motorised two-wheeler, you can also reach outlying areas and breakdowns on the motorway much more quickly.

Load volume, storage space and seating area are colour coded. A horizontal dividing line encloses the rear light, the front indicators and the handle for opening the tailgate. To keep the wheelbase as short as possible, the driver sits towards the rear right above the wheel, which is largely covered as a protection from dirt. The storage space is spacious enough to carry a second person in the front.
