CLARITY / Winner of the SIEMENS Home Appliances Design Award 2018

The concept Clarity is a kitchen island with a modular workspace. Creating a smooth workflow was the focus of this concept, to reach an easier, faster and more creative way of cooking. An intelligent storage system helps to keep an eye on everything and to reduce or even avoid food waste. The faucet is turned on and off via voice control. The handle regulates the water intensity and the slider controls the temperature, by using just one hand. Four design universities from Austria, Germany and Switzerland were invited to the competition. Twelve finalists were selected from 22 project teams, and three winners were chosen. The picture above shows the winning team from FH JOANNEUM Graz, Austria. The award ceremony took place in the presence of 350 guests at the Haus der Kunst (Munich) during the Munich Creative Business Week.
