Modern rescue stretchers feature a detachable chassis, which facilitates motion and reduces the physical burden for medics. Stretchers of this kind need to be extremely lightweight, but also have to have a very stable construction. Due to a newly developed belt-mechanism the system is easier to handle and has significantly less weight.
