Angela Thaller
Profile
Angela Thaller has been heading the PR and Marketing (PRM) department at FH JOANNEUM since summer 2026. As early as 2025, she was working part-time at FH JOANNEUM in Kapfenberg as an external lecturer in International Marketing and Market Research.
As a long-standing Head of International Marketing & PR at an international technology company, her focus shifted early on from purely data- and fact-driven communication towards strategic brand positioning. She views branding, employer branding, CSR and events not as isolated areas, but as building blocks of a unified brand strategy, with the aim of fostering a sense of identification internally and clear differentiation externally.
Angela Thaller believes it is important to use communication to provide direction. FH JOANNEUM already has a great deal to offer, with excellent teaching, practice-oriented research and a strong community. She sees her role as highlighting these strengths and consolidating them into a clear profile.
Together with her team, she is responsible for the strategic direction, coordination and implementation of FH JOANNEUM’s corporate communications. Her remit ranges from branding and media management, through student recruitment, to study programme marketing, stakeholder management and events.
