Maximilian Schwaiger

DI Maximilian Schwaiger is the head of the Actuarial Modeling Department at Merkur Versicherung AG. As the person responsible for the actuarial function, one of the four governance functions under Solvency II, he deals with the valuation of insurance portfolios and technical insurance risks for all lines of insurance in accordance with the regulatory requirements of Solvency II. Maximilian Schwaiger began his career as an actuary in the health insurance sector after completing his studies in Technical Mathematics at the TU Graz. Since 2008, he has served as the deputy actuary for health insurance at Merkur Versicherung AG. He completed his education as a recognized actuary in 2016 through a part-time program at the University of Salzburg.
