Dr. Wolfgang Thelesklav is the Head of Human Resources and authorized signatory at Grazer Wechselseitige Versicherung AG. In addition, he is responsible as the CEO and authorized signatory for several group companies.
From 1996 to 2001, he studied Law and Business Administration at the Karl-Franzens University in Graz, earning his degrees: Mag. iur. in 1999 and Dr. iur. in 2001 (with distinction).
Wolfgang Thelesklav gained scientific qualifications through his involvement in teaching and research during his work as a research assistant at the Institute of Austrian and International Civil Procedural Law, Insolvency Law, and Agricultural Law at Karl-Franzens University in Graz. He then completed judicial practice at the district of the Higher Regional Court of Graz. In late 2001, he joined Grazer Wechselseitige Versicherung AG, where he held various positions before taking over leadership responsibility for the entire human resources department in 2010. In 2018, he was also appointed Head of the Sales Function (§ 127b VAG).
A study stay at the University of Oxford (European Law), a completed payroll training program, and a comprehensive coaching qualification are additional key steps in his education and professional development.
In addition to his work as a lecturer for the Bachelor’s program in Banking and Insurance, Wolfgang Thelesklav also serves as a course leader for “Human Resource Management” in the MBA Insurance program at Karl-Franzens University in Graz.
