Our Code of Conduct

Respect. Diversity. Integrity. Responsibility.

FH JOANNEUM stands for excellence in teaching, applied research, social responsibility and respectful interaction. As a university of applied sciences, we create a place for learning, teaching, research and work every day. The members of the FH JOANNEUM community work together to shape the culture of the institution.

The Code of Conduct reflects our shared understanding of how we treat one another, work together and take responsibility. It sets out the values, principles and guidelines for conduct that guide our actions within FH JOANNEUM, as well as in our dealings with partners, clients and the public. The Code of Conduct provides guidance for decision-making in day-to-day university life. It establishes a common framework for responsible, respectful and ethical conduct.

It strengthens trust within our university community and helps to identify conflicts at an early stage, resolve them constructively and learn from them. It applies to all members of the FH JOANNEUM community.
The applicable legal provisions, as well as internal regulations, guidelines, works agreements, and employment and training contracts, remain unaffected by this. This Code of Conduct is a living document, the details of which we, as a learning organisation, continuously refine in line with the complex developments and upheavals in our environment, without calling our fundamental values and core principles into question.
