My Studies

Requirements

In order to graduate from the Master’s degree programme in European Joint Master in Digital and Sustainable Manufacturing Engineering and obtain your degree as a “Master of Science in Engineering (MSc)“

  • successfully complete all the classes of the curriculum,
  • write a master’s thesis, which must be approved and graded positively, as well as
  • pass the defence of the Master’s thesis.

note

You complete your Master’s thesis at the university where you studied your specialisation.

Master’s Thesis

In the fourth semester, you can demonstrate your knowledge as well as your research skills. Your thesis should combine both theory and practice, and is not merely a literature review. The topic of the Master’s thesis is worked on in cooperation with a company.

By working on a topic of your choice, you will gain a deeper understanding of a particular subject area (i.e. international finance, marketing, human resources). The thesis subject must be related to a relevant topic covered by your specialisation or the study programme. In your master’s thesis, you should provide a solution to business and practice-oriented questions.

Once the topic has been chosen, you, your supervisor, and the company must sign and submit the application form to the degree programme. The head of the degree programme will then check and confirm your topic.

Defence of the Master’s thesis

The defence of the Master’s thesis takes place in February/March of the final semester.
