My tasks during the internship:
My main tasks were quality management activities with a focus on the medical device ebody medication. I did research on the new European Medical Devices Regulation and supported the company in preparing for the external audit for ISO 13485 (Quality Management System for Medical Devices). After the audit, I helped to implement the auditor's advice and thus contributed to maintaining the certificate.
Halfway through my internship, I switched to another area to get a taste of software development. My tasks now included the creation and editing of documents and forms, as well as data masks, risk scales and checklists for the health software ebody and its clients. I was also allowed to get a taste of quality assurance and tested the company's own ÄrzteApp for Android and iOS. My tasks in quality management have remained upright.
Why I enjoyed my internship:
I enjoyed my internship because the company had an extremely pleasant working atmosphere. I had great colleagues, flexible working hours and short coffee breaks. Each of my colleagues was always willing to help me with any questions I had. I enjoyed learning many new things and expanding my knowledge.
What I have learned:
During my internship, I learned a lot about medical devices and their approval by actively working in the area of quality management. I was also taught how to use the health software ebody. I also expanded my knowledge of XSL, XML and HTML. In general, I gained a lot of new skills in the area of software development.
Cool experiences and successes:
I thought it was particularly cool that I was allowed to change my focus during my internship. This gave me a greater insight into the working world. Great experiences were also participating in various meetings, as well as internal and external audits.
How I got the internship:
The Humanomed Group has a very high standing in the medical industry and I was generally looking for an internship in Carinthia. I tried my luck and received an acceptance for an internship directly.
