Study mode

The part-time Master Certificate Programme in Inclusive Youth and Community Work is based at Graz (FH JOANNEUM, University of Graz and premises provided by the Styrian government). The course is organised in semesters with a block teaching session at the beginning of each semester. The course also has an e-learning and a designated self-study component. Phases of face-to-face teaching and supervised e-learning will be supplemented by self-learning phases. National holidays are taken into account. Similarly, semesters can be planned in a student-friendly way, including bridging days between a public holiday and a weekend. Students will be notified of how the academic year is organised at the beginning of the course.

The days of face-to-face teaching will take into account the special time requirements for work commitments. Since weekends are usually the busiest and most staff-intensive time for open youth work, classes are held mid-week between Tuesday and Thursday. The Moodle learning platform is used for e-learning. The assignments are implemented in the individual course units.

Attendance requirement

The educational concept of the Master Certificate Programme stipulates a minimum attendance requirement of 70 percent or 90 percent (Cluster 3 - Theory and practice) in order to successfully complete the course.
