Requirements

The Master Certificate Programme is primarily aimed at people looking to work in the management of facilities and projects within open youth work or to take on complex tasks in the area of child and youth welfare.

Graduates of the following Bachelor's degree programmes and equivalent secondary education meet the admission requirements for the Master Certificate Programme in Inclusive Youth and Community Work:

  • Relevant Bachelor's, Diploma or Master's degree in Social Work or associated disciplines, e.g. Bachelor's degree in Social Work from FH JOANNEUM.
  • Completion of a college for social education plus documentary evidence of at least three years of relevant professional experience.
  • Completion of the academic certificate course in Inclusive Youth and Community Work (INJUG) at FH JOANNEUM and evidence of university entrance qualification (general or examination certificate).
Tip:

The university entrance qualification exam for this Master Certificate Programme includes the following subjects: Mathematics 1, English 2 and an essay on a general topic (German).

Language skills

The course is taught in German. If you are proficient in German at level B2 you should have no problem following the classes. Please send us a certificate evidencing your language skills unless these are included in your secondary school leaving certificate or similar diplomas.

Compliance with the admission requirements will be examined by the programme head based on the written application.
