My biggest success in my career

During my studies, I was constantly looking for a job that combines the fields of management, tourism, health and marketing, since I simply did not want to specialise in a single area. It was only during my internship at Steirisches Vulkanland that I realised that working in regional development allows me to combine everything I'm interested in, both in my private and professional life. This was a big eye-opener in my career.

How I found my current job

I got a foothold at Steirisches Vulkanland through a summer internship offer forwarded to me by FH JOANNEUM. After the internship I asked whether I could stay and so they created a new position for me on the team.

What I learned for this job during my studies

I can use absolutely everything I learned during my studies in my job – from project management and marketing to tourism, health and event management to social skills, presentation techniques and business management.

Job prospects in my field

Jobs in regional development are regularly available everywhere in Austria and most of them are publicly advertised.

I am:

  • empathetic
  • loyal
  • a lateral thinker

I am lucky to have found an exciting job, and also to have a team around me which enables me to develop and evolve. Therefore I never have the feeling of standing still – and for me this is the most important thing in my job.
