Projects are a central element in the Bank Management study track of the part-time Master’s degree programme in Banking and Insurance Management. They enable students to apply and deepen their specialised knowledge directly in real business contexts. In project-oriented courses, students work on specific tasks from financial practice – from analysing complex investment decisions and developing risk management concepts to designing sustainable financial strategies.
The projects take place over several semesters – particularly in the second and third semesters – and are an integral part of the specialisation modules. The topics are geared towards current challenges in the financial sector, such as ESG reporting, digitalisation in controlling, financing innovations or strategic management in growth phases.
Close collaboration with regional, national and international companies creates particular added value. Our partners come from the fields of banking, insurance, industry, consulting, start-ups and the public sector, among others. Through these collaborations, students gain valuable insights into real decision-making processes and establish contacts with potential employers at an early stage.
The benefits for students are manifold:
The practice-oriented project phases not only promote professional specialisation, but also personal development. Students learn to take responsibility, develop solutions and present their ideas convincingly – precisely the skills that are crucial in professional life.
