The International Relations Office advises management and degree programmes on strategic issues relating to internationalisation and is the central point of contact for potential university partners.
At all three locations in Graz, Kapfenberg and Bad Gleichenberg, it is the central service point for
- around 350 outgoing students per year,
- around 1,400 regular students (half of them are from third countries)
- approx. 220 ERASMUS+ interns, and
- around 100 lecturers and staff at FH JOANNEUM who are completing Erasmus lecturer mobility or Erasmus staff training.
In addition, the department manages
- over 300 partnership agreements with universities on all continents and supports
- around 500 incoming students and almost 150 incoming lecturers and staff per year.
In addition, it offers a diverse teaching programme in foreign languages and German as a foreign language through CAMPUS LinguaNEUM and organises intercultural events and courses for all students and staff.
Since 2023, the Certificate programme “German Language Competence Course” has been preparing applicants who are not native German speakers for their studies at FH JOANNEUM. They complete the course with a certificate and the ÖSD exam ‘Zertifikat Deutsch B2’, thus fulfilling the language requirements for most German-language Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes.
