EU4DUAL Rector’s Council Meeting

EU4DUAL Rector’s Council Meeting

On February 5 and 6, the 4th EU4DUAL Rector's Council Meeting took place at FH JOANNEUM in Graz. The rectors of the EU4DUAL universities took stock of the progress made in establishing the European University Alliance EU4DUAL so far and agreed on milestones and key topics for the coming period.

The management of FH JOANNEUM Corinna Engelhardt-Nowitzki and Martin Payer: “It was a pleasure to host the EU4DUAL Rector's Council meeting in Graz. During the productive sessions we had the opportunity to discuss key issues for the Alliance with the Rectors of our partner universities. It is clear that we have an exciting time ahead of us as we develop the first joint Dual Master's programs and joint micro-credentials and lay the groundwork for a joint industrial PhD program. We look forward to continuing our collaboration within the EU4DUAL alliance.”

In addition to the meetings, the rectors had the opportunity to visit two FH JOANNEUM research facilities: the Automotive Testing Lab and the Food Processing Lab. Current research priorities were presented and contacts were made for joint research projects within the Alliance. In the evening, the rectors met for dinner with Styrian Regional Minister for Economics and Research Barbara Eibinger-Miedl. On the second day, the rectors agreed on strategic priorities for the coming period. The official statement of the Alliance on the Rector's Council Meeting can be found here.
