Nomia / Smart Kitchen

Project work in cooperation with BORA, Austria
Die Smart-Küche in Kooperation von Bora

Seline Gigerl’s project presents a compact smart kitchen that is space-saving, intuitive, and ideal for small living spaces thanks to its minimalist design and digital assistance.

In the future, living spaces – especially in cities – will become increasingly smaller, leaving less room for personal furnitures. This project aims to design a kitchen that seamlessly combines cooking and working areas in a minimalist way, creating more space in the home. Its understated design makes it appear inconspicuous, blending into its surroundings and fitting perfectly into modern living spaces. Practical, aesthetic, and space-saving, it’s ideal for busy professionals with little time or cooking experience. The accompanying app allows users to create personalized shopping lists and recipes. Another key element of this project is the interface embedded in the surface. This interface visually guides users from preparation to the finished dish.
