Green Economy and Sustainable Future

My Studies

Co-op programme

The Master’s degree programme Green Economy and Sustainable Future is specifically designed for working professionals. A minimum of two years of relevant work experience is required for admission, ensuring that academic content is directly connected to your professional background from the outset.

With 37 ECTS of work-integrated learning, a substantial part of the programme takes place directly within companies. You apply what you learn to real-world challenges and deepen your expertise in areas such as circular economy, ESG management and sustainable finance.

Industry partners such as Nokia, Green Tech Valley, Mondragon Corporation and Genelec are actively involved in teaching, supervision and assessment, ensuring strong practical relevance throughout the programme.

The study format combines on-site sessions at the partner universities with online teaching and self-directed study.

  • On-site sessions: In-person teaching at the respective partner universities
  • E-learning: Hybrid format with international students and lecturers from all partner institutions

Self-study

The amount of self-study always depends on the student’s own level of commitment and ambition. Each ECTS credit corresponds to 25 hours of workload (total: 2,250 hours over three semesters).

Attendance

Attendance is compulsory during the specified attendance times. In the event of illness, students will be excused upon submitting a doctor’s certificate. Final judgement on the implications of absence and on exceptions to the attendance requirement will be made by the head of institute.
