The Institute of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence offers modern, spacious and well-equipped laboratories and seminar facilities. The wide range of professional software and hardware available to students provides the ideal basis for their practical training.
The following computer labs are available to our students in Kapfenberg:
- YAML – Yet Another Mac Lab:
IT laboratory for iOS software development, prototype testing and hands-on project work. - SAFE – Security and Forensics Environment:
Cybersecurity: Secure IT environment for simulating real-world attacks and forensically securing digital evidence. - HIVE – Hands-On Informatics & Virtual Environment:
Practical environment for computer science, virtual systems and IT projects. - Startup Lab:
Lab for IT innovations, start-up ideas and successful business plan development as part of KAIT – the Kapfenberg Accelerator and Incubator for IT. - NEST Kapfenberg – Network & Security Technology Lab:
A network laboratory for business simulations and security testing.
Almost all the facilities for the Computer Science degree programme can be accessed by students, even out of hours, using the electronic student card.
