Requirements for the course
What requirements must applicants meet to gain a place on the course?
Option 1: University degree
Admission to the course requires
- a relevant Bachelor‘s degree with a minimum of 180 ECTS and proof of at least one year's professional experience after graduation
or
- a relevant Master’s degree.
Applicants must prove that they have knowledge of BIM authoring software such as Autodesk Revit, Graphisoft Archicad or Nemetschek Allplan, which they have acquired during professional practice. They must also provide evidence of project management experience in planning, construction or administration.
Applicants with a Master’s degree need not provide evidence of practical experience if the Master’s degree is relevant to the subject area or the Master’s thesis addresses a BIM topic.
A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields is considered a relevant qualification for a professional career in integrated planning design:
- Architecture
- Construction engineering
- Building technology
- Technical installations
- Energy engineering
- Smart building
- Construction management
- Real estate industry / management
- Wood engineering
- Facility management
- Interior design
- Project management
Basic knowledge of spreadsheet, database application and word processing software is a prerequisite.
Option 2: Relevant professional qualification
Applicants without a degree can also be considered if they have at least five years’ relevant professional experience plus a university entrance qualification.
Applicants must provide clear evidence of their professional activities relevant to the course.
