International Industrial Management (PT)

My Studies

Student projects

In our practical research projects, students actively engage with current challenges facing industry and work on research questions. Our projects cover a wide range of topics – from logistics, process and quality management to human resources and strategy, production, purchasing, sales and controlling. Much of this work makes use of the modern infrastructure of the Smart Production Lab – a practical environment where ideas, technologies and methods can be tested directly. The result is a degree programme that optimally combines theory and practice – and perfectly prepares you for the challenges of Industry 5.0.

The research at the institute covers the entire industrial value chain, from production control and logistics to business model development and digitalisation. The aim is to improve the competitiveness of companies through new digital solutions. The main areas of research include

  • Industry 4.0 / Industry 5.0 and digital transformation in production (including with AI and data analytics)
ERP and MES with horizontal and vertical integration
  • Supply chain management and logistics
  • Corporate management and controlling
  • New Work

Industrial Research Project

In the Industrial Research Project our students work together with their colleagues from the Bachelor’s degree programme in Industrial Management and can gain first-hand experience in project and personnel management. These projects are closely related to research and teaching, giving project members the opportunity to solve current problems and/or research questions in areas such as logistics, procurement, enterprise resource planning (ERP) and financial controlling. The projects are an important factor in the success of the degree programme and help to prepare students for their future careers in the best possible way. In addition to specialisation, the industrial research project also contributes to personal development by promoting social skills, leadership qualities as well as presentation and moderation skills.
