What is the admissions process?

Depending upon the COVID-19 situation at the time, the admission procedure 2021 will either be carried out on site or online. You will find all details here shortly. You will also receive an e-mail with all important information in good time before the admission procedure.

The admissions process consists of:

  • a complete application,
  • an assessment of the online portfolio by the admissions committee,
  • an interview with the admissions committee and
  • an assessment of previous qualifications and practical professional experience.

The form of the application will also be taken into consideration.

You will be invited to an interview if you meet the entry requirements and your application documents and online portfolio are complete and were submitted on time. You will receive an email with detailed information about the online interview in good time before the interview.

The personal interview

All candidates are invited to a personal interview. You are given the opportunity to demonstrate both your knowledge in the field of media design and your motivation, suitability and talent for the chosen course of study and a subsequent career in this field.

The interview will be conducted by key staff from the Institute of Design & Communication. It will last around 20 minutes.

Assessment of previous qualifications and professional experience

Relevant professional experience and continuing education are taken into account as additional criteria for admission.
