Continuing education, Part-time
Sustainability Communication and Climate Journalism

Academic certificate programme for continuing education according to § 9 FHG

The major challenges of our time – the climate crisis, loss of biodiversity and digital transformation – require people who can explain complex issues in an accessible way and highlight the connections between them. Our part-time course Sustainability Communication and Climate Journalism provides the knowledge and tools at an academic level to communicate effectively on these issues of the future. The programme is aimed at those interested in the fields of journalism and media, communication and PR, civil society and NGOs, business, science and education, art and culture, administration and politics.
The following programmes, among others, are eligible for funding towards course fees: the FFG’s Skills Scheck 2026, the Green Jobs funding from the Vienna waff, and the Weiter!Bilden funding from the Styrian SFG.
