My StudiesBecause of the international nature of this sector, having spent a semester abroad is particularly advantageous for our students in their later professional lives. The IT world primarily communicates in English, and for this reason a high degree of language fluency is advantageous. Furthermore, the experience of living abroad is an important factor in personal development. Future employers place great value on a comprehensive education, rounded off by a semester spent abroad. This can often be completed within the framework of educational leave.
How does it work?
In the fifth or sixth semesters, our students can spend a semester abroad. If there are more applicants than places available, our International Coordinator will organise a selection procedure: selection is decided on the basis of grade point averages.
Where possible, the required ECTS are obtained whilst studying abroad. If the partner institution does not offer a comparable course students must take the relevant exam on their return to Graz.
